"Each lesson is a new experience, a new adventure, a new awareness.  Lyn knows how to produce winners.  She’s the best kept secret around."                                                    Patricia Turner

  • "Riding with Lyn Fonzo at Hatfield Corner Stables is a wonderful experience. The first thing that hits you when you see the barn, is how incredibly clean it is, and how very well the horses are cared for. The lessons with Lyn are fantastic. I love them! She is an excellent and patient teacher who helps you learn to ride so that the horse has a good experience as well as the rider. For Lyn, the horses come first and I think that is one of the best parts about riding with Lyn - her passion for the horses and her incredible expertise as an equestrian herself. Lyn's lessons are challenging and I love that about her teaching style. One of my favorite things to do is to watch Lyn ride-she is a beautiful and very talented rider and to watch her ride is symmetry in motion. Another incredible asset to Hatfield Corner Stables is the barn manager, Carrie Jean. Carrie, like Lyn, is passionate about the horses, and takes the best care of them and the barn that anyone could ask for. She is also an accomplished rider and I love to watch her ride as well!

I used to ride when I was a kid and bought my own pony with my babysitting money. I had to give up riding when I went to college and I did not ride for over 30 years. Going back to riding is probably one of the best things I have done for myself in 35 years. There are lots of places to ride in New Hampshire, but if you are looking for a wonderful barn, with a talented, kind, and enthusiastic owner, and really nice horses as well, Hatfield Corner Stables is the place for you."

  • "I had the priviledge of working with Lyn for almost four years and in those years, I learned tremendous amounts...everything from becoming a better instructor to how to run a professional business.  Watching Lyn ride was always so incredible as she literally rode in harmony and balance with each horse she got on, making riding look not only effortless, but beautiful.  She has an excellent eye to help others realize what they can do better to become a better rider.  Not only that, but her knowledge seems almost unlimited.  Everything from medicines, to feed, to lameness and health, she can talk very specific and detailed about each of these areas and more.  Like I said earlier, it was truly a priviledge to work with Lyn."

  • "Hatfield Corner Stables is a great facility. I board 3 horses who are also in training with Lyn. The care of the horses is excellent. Lyn proactively keeps me informed of their progress as well as overall care and health.  The progress Lyn has made with each of the horses has been wonderful to watch. She knows what to do with each horse and when to do it so each training session ends as a positive experience. She has very high standards of care and safety which I could see from the first time I went to see her facility and the primary reason I have 3 horses with her.  She also has an excellent team working with her who care and handle the horses as if they were their own. Having worked with 5 other training facilities across the country, I can confidently say, "It does not get better than this!"

I, also, started training again after 25 years and Lyn is a great instructor. In my much younger years, I was a jumper. I told Lyn I knew nothing about dressage so to treat me like a beginner. She did but I think she under estimated how much I really did not know!  She is patient, kind, encouraging & extremely knowledgeable. She knows when it's time to move to the next level so is constantly building my confidence. She makes me work (which is good for my soul and she knows it!) but always makes each session enjoyable. We laugh alot! Safety is paramount for her clients as well as the horses so everyone "knows the rules!".  She ensures her students are hands on, always learning and is a great educator. I would recommend Lyn to anyone, at any age and any level! "

  • "Lyn Fonzo is an amazing and talented riding instructor.  I began riding three years ago, at age 58, for the first time.  Although I had a fear of horses, it was something that I wanted to try.  I certainly picked the right person!  Lyn has taken me to a comfort zone with riding that I never expected.  She worked me through mental blocks, great nervousness, and hesitation with new moves.  Her confidence in me and what I was capable of have moved me into a riding level I hadn’t anticipated.  Her knowledge and teaching skill enables her to work with all levels of riders.  I would highly recommend Lyn Fonzo as a riding instructor. "

  • "Lyn is a beautiful and accomplished rider and, very importantly, she is a good teacher and can pass on her years of experience to her students.  Her training is phenomenal- she produces happy and beautifully schooled horses at any level.  I am really pleased to be able to work with her."

    Barbara Freeman, Newbury NH

  • "I arrived at Lyn’s stable with a solid background in eventing (which usually included surviving the dressage tests so I could then run and jump lots of wonderful fences).  I did not know if I would like riding at a stable that focused on dressage.  Lyn has made me a convert.  My position seems to be improving and, perhaps more important, I am slowly learning to understand how to ride a horse in a correct frame.  With patience and persistence Lyn has opened my eyes to the beauty and intricacy of dressage."
